As New Zealand market leaders for Construction Equipment, Diesel Engines, Transmissions, Generator sets, Oil and Filtration products, TransDiesel represent a number of leading global brands, the principle being Volvo Construction Equipment. Due to continued success and growth, we are now seeking a Supply Chain Specialist to join our Supply Chain team in our Christchurch Head Office.

Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, the Supply Chain Specialist is responsible for all aspects of planning and purchasing, and branch replenishment in line with strategic objectives and best practice for a designated product portfolio, including VOR demand, indent requests and landed costs. The key focus of the role will be to build strong commercial relationships and partnerships with internal and external customers and suppliers to achieve optimum stock holdings across the relevant Hub and Branch network.

As Health and Safety is paramount in this industry you will be up to speed with practices and be able to demonstrate this in your work habits. This knowledge will help you to promote the company image in a professional manner as well as provide first class customer service.

To be successful in this role you will have worked within a supply chain environment with demonstrated experience in large volume inventory planning, control and purchasing aligned to strategic objectives and best practice. The role requires an individual with strong commercial acumen, and a track record of excellence in customer and supplier relationship development, contract negotiation, logistics and analysing supply & demand trend. Familiarity with automotive lubricants or mechanical parts would be an advantage.
