Volvo Forestry Carriers purpose built for NZ market

In an effort to produce a machine for true New Zealand conditions, TDX and Volvo CE extensively researched with multiple contractors on their sites to establish what is required to meet the harsh New Zealand Forestry conditions.

Accompanied by Volvo CE design engineers from the Volvo Excavator factory, TDX spent time travelling around different regions and finding out what does and what doesn't work in New Zealand's forests – feedback was gained directly from the people who use the equipment. Volvo engineers then worked out a design that could be efficiently manufactured alongside other models in their factories.

The result from all the research and development was the release of the New Zealand specified Volvo FC250DL and Volvo FC300DL forestry carriers.

With a factory build forestry spec cab, heavy duty under guarding and machine guarding, heavy duty boom and high lift, slew bearing guard, forestry spec final drive ratio, heavy counterweight and a factory high and wide undercarriage the new Volvo Forestry Carrier is ready to go straight to work to meet the ever demanding conditions.

Safety standards in line with Volvo’s core values have been met on the new Volvo FC range which is truly a purpose built forestry carrier built specifically for the NZ market.
