About the CHRISTY TURNER SERIES

Christy Turner offer a range of heavy-duty pulverisers and associated equipment. The range also includes overhung disintegrators, twin rotor NPK pulverisers and lab-mills, all under the Christy brand name.
In addition to the Christy brand are small laboratory type jaw, rotary and rolls crushers under the Sturtevant brand. The heavy-duty pulverisers are well known in New Zealand, having been manufactured by “Andrews and Beaven” for many years until the late 1980’s. Indeed most of the parts are directly interchangeable with the current UK manufactured machines. They are renowned for their ability to grind a wide variety of materials such as steel swarf, limestone (ag-lime), ceramics, glass, wood hogging and animal by-products.
The Christy name came into being in 1858 when the business of Christy Bros was established to manufacture size reduction machines for both human and animal feeds. In the 1930’s it became Christy & Norris Ltd and diversified into the industrial sector. In the early 1980’s it acquired the business of Beken Engineering and the crusher business of Sturtevant Engineering Ltd.
In 2002 Christy and Norris became a member of the Gosling Group, which was renamed Christy Turner Ltd early in 2005.
