The Pilot Modular range is an award winning range of ready to use semi-mobile, skid mounted crushing, screening, washing and stockpiling equipment. All machines in this range – including screens, conveyors, jaw crushers, cone crushers, horizontal impact crushers, vertical shaft impact crushers, feed hoppers and washing plants - are mounted on skid-frames, do not require concrete foundations and are designed for rapid installation and easy integration with the entire product range. Machines in the Pilot Modular range can be used as a standalone machine or combined with other Pilot Modular equipment. The Pilot Modular range consists of standard modules which are reconfigurable and scalable and therefore allow contractors to start small and change or grow their processing plant as demand increases or product requirements change. A complete crushing and screening plant can typically be set up and operating at full capacity within days from arrival on site. These tried and tested machines are robust and designed to handle the harshest conditions and toughest rock in all types of applications.
The Pilot Crushtec range is spearheaded by the Twister series of vertical shaft impact crushers (VSI’s). The largest, the AC210 model is available with a range of rotor and crushing chamber options. This unit forms the basis of the world’s first production track mounted VSI – the Twister Trac.Vertical shaft impact crushers have been the backbone of the Pilot Crushtec product line up for more than fifteen years with the Twister crusher having established itself as a leader in vertical autogenous rock-on-rock crushing technology.Twister crushers produce cubical shaped, high quality aggregate and sand that meets today’s demanding specifications in contracting, civil engineering and construction projects. These crushers offer enhanced gradation control and are commonly used for the production of fines in industrial and pre-milling applications. It is this combined understanding of VSI technology and changing customer needs that saw Pilot Crushtec develop the first fully mobile tracked VSI crusher. Add to this a VSI crusher that offers significantly reduced maintenance and lower operating costs, and it is easy to understand why a number of these units have been sold both in South Africa and internationally, including a number in New Zealand. The Twister Trac, tracked VSI crusher has been engineered from the ground as a fully portable machine, unlike many so-called mobile crushers which are static machines adapted to accommodate the need for mobility.
Terex Canica has been a leader in the crushing industry since introducing its first Vertical Shaft Impactor. The Terex Canica VSI features gradation control, high product yield with low horsepower per ton, a non-plugging crushing chamber and simple maintenance. Terex Canica can convert outdated VSI machines to its flexible internal system and patented vaulted anvil system for improved tonnage, lower cost per ton and a longer wear life.
Terex-Cedarapids crushing and screening equipment manufactured in Cedar rapids, Iowa, USA. The name “Cedarapids” is synonymous with dependable, quality crushers and screens. Founded in 1923 as Iowa Manufacturing Company was established to provide crushing machinery that would follow the road builders across the USA. The first unit developed was the “One Piece Outfit” or “OPO”. This consisted of an overhead eccentric jaw crusher, rotary screen and bucket elevator. The OPO revolutionised the crushing and screening industry; for the first time it was possible to crush and process at the job site and to move from site to site without the problems inherent in establishing a stationery plant. The OPO grew into a wide variety of crushing units, all with an emphasis on portability. This emphasis paid off when during World War II, over 850 Model 2A two-unit plants were produced for the US military. In 1950 New Holland Equipment was purchased, adding impact crushers to the range. Continued development lead to the Commander Series Portable Plants, introduced in the early 1950’s, of which over 1000 were produced for use all over the world. El-Jay Inc. was acquired in 1976 for it’s Rollercone crushers and associated equipment. In 1985, in honour of the high reputation the trade name had come to represent the company officially became Cedarapids Inc. In 1999 Terex purchased the company from Raytheon and the name again changed to become Terex-Cedararpids. Today Terex-Cedarapids continues it’s pioneering lead offering customers a wide range of technologically advanced products
Terex Finlay Cone Crushers give material producers high production and low maintenance and operating costs. The C-1540 cone crushing equipment features a number of major benefits including hydrostatic drive, rapid set up time, high reduction ratio, high output capacity and advanced electronic control systemThe C-1540 Cone crusher also features an integrated pre-screen. By only crushing the products that need to be crushed, the capacity of the machine is increased and wear costs reduced. The metal detector on the hopper with self-clearing facility is also another notable feature. With an automatic tramp metal relief, hydraulically adjustable closed side settings, ease of maintenance and direct hydrostatic drive, the Cone chamber is already well established in the marketplace.
