60 Series

The Series 60 engines embody the qualities of reliability and durability like virtually no others. Nearly 1,000,000 units of this Series are in operation globally. There are good reasons for that success: a rugged yet compact design, ease of maintenace and low running costs, all make the 60 Series one of the most economical engines in its class.

With a horsepower range from 350hp to 825hp, this 14 litre, in-line 6 cylinder engine is sutiable for applications Like Commercial Fishing and Cray boats, Passenger Ferries, Tourist Vessels and Corporate Charter Boats.

The 60 Series features:

  • Titanium Plate Type Heat Exchangers
  • Robust Cylinder Block
  • Piston Cooling
  • Top Liner Cooling - reducing ring wear
  • Overhead Camshaft
  • Electronically Controlled Unit Pump Injectors
  • DDEC Electronic Montoring and Control

2000 / 2000CR Series

The 2000 Series is a clean sheet design engine that was developed by the two leading diesel engine suppliers in the world. MTU and Detroit Diesel.

Series 2000 engine can be found in a varied spectrum of applications which range from yachts, work and tourist boats, crayboats to police craft, patrol boats and government vessels.

In New Zealands Commercial Tourism and Cray Boat Market, the 2000 Series Engine is the market leader. An envious position. The 2000 Series are compact and reliable, easy to service and highly efficient. In addition, they stand out for their low emissions (which comply with IMO).

2000 CR Series

The new 2000 CR series features state-of-the-art technologies and has significantly more power than the 2000 Series.

The power density of the new 2000 CR engines has been increased to such an extent that the new 10V 2000 CR provides the same power as the 12V 2000 engine currently in the market. This is equivalent to a 20% increase. The new 10-cylinder is one third smaller than the previous 12-cylinder model, with only 80% of its weight.

The 2000 CR engines are set to gradually replace the engines of the current 2000 series.

With a power to weight ratio of 1.99 kg/kW (1.48 kg/hp), the new engines are very light. The 2000 CR engines boast several innovative technologies, including common rail fuel injection, compound turbocharging with water cooled-compressor and turbine housings and newly developed electronics.

Four variants (8V, 10V, 12V and 16V engines) cover the power outputs upto 2400hp.  Low emission levels and low fuel consumption ensure that the engines comply with the EPA Tier 2/Euro 2 emission standards and offer class leading fuel economy.

Service is also made easier by the new electronics, which enable optional remote access to engine data via an internet connection. This makes fleet management easier.

4000 Series

Through the design of the 4000 series, TBO’s ( Time Before Overhaul) as high as 30,000 hours and even longer can be achieved in commercial applications.

The Series 4000 Feature 4litres per cylinder displacement and with common rail fuel injection features some of the lowest fuel consumption figures in the industry.

The Series 4000 is a compact lightweight engine and is highly efficient. Heat rejection to engine room is limited to 40kw which means that you can save cost in engine room ventilation. Particular attention has been made to servicing of the engine with the engine being able to be partially rebuilt in situe without the necessity of having to take the engine back to service facilities. Saving you down time and money. Tugs, to Ferries to Super Yachts to Naval Vessels the 4000 Series engine is suits a variety of applications.

  • Individual Cylinder heads, for maintenance simplicity
  • Triple Walled Exhaust Manifold, highly efficient, reduces heat emission to engine room.
  • Common Rail Electronic Fuel Injection System, allowing for continuously variable injection timing, volume and pressure with a reduction in soot and maximizing fuel efficiency.
  • Ease of Servicing, by grouping service points at the free end of the engine with easy access to filters, water and fuel pumps and integrated accessories.
  • Titanium Plate Type heat exchanger for maximum efficiency, reduced weight and maintenance simplicity.
  • Electronic Monitoring and Controls
  • Sequential Turbo-Charging on most models for superior acceleration and performance.
  • Ability to partially rebuild the engine in situe.
