2 Cycle Engines

The first Detroit Diesel engine was built in 1938. Over 3,500,000 Series 53, 71, 92 and 149 engines followed. There are approx 800,000 still in operation worldwide today.

How many other Engine Manufacturers can make that statement!

Detroit Diesel started with a new design in 1938. A modular design. A flexible design. The cylinder head could be installed either way on the block. Either end of the block could be the front... or the back. Over 70% of the parts between the smallest and largest models were interchangeable. Older Detroit Diesel engines don't become obselete. Simply by installing newer components, older Detroit Diesel engines can be upgraded to current standards.

One of the first engines Detroit Diesel ever built was a 6-71. Nearly 60 years later modern versions of the 6-71 where still being built!

This inventory allows the repair to OEM standard of thought to be obsolete engine, transmission and earthmoving equipment. Our extensive range includes Detroit Diesel 6-110, 8V53 and 12V53 model engines, all models of Terex Rigid and Articulated Dump Trucks and Allison Off Highway transmissions.
