SUN Series (Air Cooled), 700 Series (Water cooled)
Follow the SUN for Clean, Efficient Power!
The SUN Series is a complete line of 2 and 3 cylinder naturally aspirated and 3, 4 and 6 cylinder turbocharged, air-cooled engine models. These diesel engine are manufactured in Cento, Italy and over half a million engines are in daily use in construction/industrial and generator set applications in some of the harshest environments around the world.
The SUN series features a patented "Tunnel Cylinder Block" design for low noise and vibration from a compact engine design. This series features a "modular" design, which provides simplicity, flexibility and minimal inventory for superior parts and service support.
The engines in the SUN series were designed in the late '60s to fulfill the requirements of industrial machinery manufacturers. They have been continually updated to satisfy ever changing demands, and are well suited to a sector which, more than any other, depends on reliability, simplicity and durability. The basic technical concepts connected to the air-cooling system in the new generation of engines are combined with the use of extremely up-to-date parts which ensure technologically sophisticated performance.
EPA Tier I / EURO Stage I ratings are available from 29 to 170 horsepower at 1500 (50hz), 1800 (60hz) and 2300 rpm engine governed speeds. Additional horsepower ratings are available for other stationary applications.
