SCHAEFF/TEREX TRANSVERSE CUTTING UNIT (TCU)
New to the New Zealand market, these machines are designed as a versatile attachment capable of a variety of roles. The TCU is principally designed as a cutting tool used to break concrete or rock but is equally comfortable grinding tree stumps. Typical applications see the TCU breaking limestone for harvest or trenching through basalt rock. High torque and low revolutions on the cutting drum make for low vibration and an easily controlled cut.
Replaceable tungsten carbide cutting picks are available locally.
The TCU is available in five different models to suit excavators ranging in size from 2 to 45 tonne.
